Frequently Asked Questions

  • I'm currently in network with Regence/BlueCross BlueShield and PacificSource.

If you have an out of network insurance, I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to see what your out of network benefits are, as I can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit for reimbursement.

You may also choose to pay out of pocket for therapy.

    Therapy rates:

    Individual follow-up sessions: $215

    Couples follow-up sessions: $230

    Intake session: $265

Please note that I only bill insurance for individual therapy. Couples sessions are out of pocket.

Payment info: payment is required at the time of session (co-pay amount or out of pocket expense). I accept payment by credit card, which is kept on file and processed through the secure patient portal.

Cancellation policy: please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to make a scheduled session. If you miss our appointment or cancel fewer than 24 hours before, there is a $75 fee (not covered by insurance).

  • I offer both telehealth and in person sessions

Telehealth sessions occur via a secure HIPAA compliant platform called Simple Practice

In person sessions occur at my office location: 3050 SE Division St Portland OR 97202 (ADA accessible building)

  • Therapy sessions (approx. 50 minutes in length) generally occur on a weekly or biweekly basis depending on your needs and my availability. Frequency can be adjusted as needed. During the initial intake session, I gather information about your presenting concerns, background, and goals to inform treatment.

  • Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for health care services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services within one business day of your service.

You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the No Surprises help desk at 1-800-985-3059.
